yay valentines day! haha

ok, i know this holiday seems stupid to a lot of people... but i've always really liked it.

i'm not sure why... i mean, it doesn't matter if i'm in a relationship or not, i just really like it.

i know, i know... its a silly corporate holiday created by card makers so that they have one more reason to sell things... and yes, that may be true but that doesn't lessen my enjoyment of this day.

last year, i was single (missed it by about a week lol) so i bought myself a pretty bracelet i had been eyeing on victoria's secret's website. and of course justified the expense as a "valentines present to me!" haha.

and i know some people think that this holiday is all about girls being greedy and making their boyfriends spend money on them... but thats not true either. well, it may be for some, but not me.

i guess i'm in love with love. well, this year its definately tyler :)

he sent me a dozen pink roses (my fav!) and says my "real" present is still in the mail... so thoughtful.

and my parents sent me a dozen red roses... well, apparently they are from my parents and my dog, muffin. its funny cause i'm pretty sure i have a sister... who didn't make it onto the card lol. so yes, my dog is quite thoughtful. :)

but yea, so to all those people out there who say they hate valentines day:

get over yourself. ask yourself why you really hate this day. is it because you feel lonely? is it because you hate seeing couples out there all snuggly and whatnot? well, join the club. lots of people hate seeing public displays of affection. but we don't get all pissy and hate a holiday devoted to love because of it. what is stopping you from going out and having a good time with your friends? and if your friends are single, then go to the video store, get a really cheesy romantic movie, some chocolate from the supermarket (ice cream is optional... ), go home and remind yourself why people believe in love.

why do people believe in love? because it makes us feel good to believe that somewhere there is someone who will make you happy in all aspects of your life and that possibility of meeting them is enough to dream about.

so HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL and i hope its happy and enjoyable for everyone... single or taken :)
