valentines day

well, today started out as kind of depressing since i am technically single. despite being single on the majority of valentine's days in my life, i still enjoy the holiday because there is always the promise that next year will be better. finally, this year, better was here.

it started in the morning. i got a very cryptic call concerning where to deliver flowers for me. i thought "hmm...who could have sent me flowers?" naturally, i'm secretly hoping its bobby but i doubt it because we haven't really progressed from friends who have random hook ups because both are interested but do to the constraints placed on them by a third party, can't act on that interest. ugh. so then i wonder if maybe andrew had placed an order for flowers before we broke up and had since forgotten about it. but he said no. so of course i'm on pins and needles waiting for these flowers. finally they arrive and...and...sigh, they're from my dad. oh well, it was nice of him but not nearly as exciting as if a guy had given them to me.

anyway, then bobby and i had planned to go to a movie but then had to cancel cause we had no way to get there since bobby doesn't have a car and i can't bring mine till next year. so that was definately disappointing. but we decided to stay in, order food and watch a movie.

this is where the evening started to look up. first we ordered food from jabberwoke, a local restaurant. it was nothing special, just sandwiches. but its always amazing the way the quality of the company your with improves the quality of the food.

we decided to watch Garden State. it was a really great movie and afterwards we caught the end of When Harry Met Sally. really cute.

after that, we were just lying on my bed, discussing things. we labeled bobby "A" and his conscous that want to be loyal to Andrew "B". Andrew himself was "C" and i was "D". basically, he told me that "A" would like nothing more than to be with "D" because "A" thinks "D" is amazing and wonderful. but "B" won't let "A" act on that intense interest. So "A" has decided to hold off until "C" gives the go ahead. but "A" doesn't want "D" to worry since the interest is not going to go away. its too strong.

so "D" (haha, me) asked if any exceptions to these rules could be made due to the fact that it is Valentines Day. "A" rapidly agreed. we had the most amazing make out session ever. it was just so fantastic.

but what "D" likes the most about "A" is that he is handling this as a mature adult. he is obviously interested but not completely horny. that makes me so happy because i can be comfortable around him, not on guard.

i really feel like we could be happy together...but i also think this mandatory wait period is important because it shows us if we really have something or not. hopefully this will work out.

sigh...i'm going to bed to have some happy dreams....sigh...
